![]() September 1, 2016, 2:03 am PDT in Virgo – Solar Eclipse The new moon this month will come between the Sun and Earth, causing a solar eclipse, which will disrupt the normal energy flow, blessing each of us with the opportunity to create changes that will last. The new moon energy provides the opportunity to shift and change areas in our life. A solar eclipse is all about change meaning we are in a prime time to drill down on all areas of our life and see where we need to incorporate some change. Even if we don’t drill down, having a solar eclipse brings change, fated change. Put into action Mercury retrograde – which turns on August 30th- and the opportunities are endless! To infinity and beyond. Mercury retrograde is a good time for inner reflection as is the new moon. It looks like we are in for change, change, change. Rather than fight it, we might as well take charge and work with it! Think of this new moon cycle as the time to move on, away from your past with the solar eclipse being the turning point. If you have had a difficult past year, things are easing, and you should feel like the tides are turning and brighter days are ahead. Time to take stock of everything that you have been dreaming about. Inner reflection and self-honesty are required right now. It might be time to let go of particular dreams that just have not seemed to be working out for you, acknowledge that they just weren’t right for you. Acknowledge that something better is coming to replace them. In fact, September seems ripe for “new” beginnings so why not dream up a whack of new dreams and allow the others to stay dormant – which is where they have been anyway. In thinking about this new moon and how best to have the energy work for me, I kept being drawn to my pendulum. A quick google search will find you some pendulum charts that you can use, or you can print off a blank one and make your own. To help me determine what area of my life I should reflect upon and ponder change within, I am going to use a pendulum chart with the chakra's first. Each chakra coordinates with a different aspect of your life, for instance, if my pendulum were drawing a line through the Heart Chakra placement I would know that I need to work on acceptance, forgiveness, and relationships. That in and of itself would be or could be vague, so next I would use a Major Arcana pendulum chart because again each card represents a different aspect and would draw a bigger picture of the direction I needed to take. Let's say my pendulum drew a line to the Strength card. I could discern that that I needed to be kinder with my thoughts. That my thoughts manifest in the physical, and where are they leading me. Forgiveness would still play a key in my revitalization. AT this point I would start saying the H’oponopono while thinking of what has been going through my mind lately. The new and full moons offer us an opportunity to bring clarity to our lives. It is up to us to discern how we will use the energy of each moon. I like to mix the energy with some fun, for nothing in life has to be a struggle. I also believe that change is a good thing, and the more that I understand myself, the easier change is to facilitate. I would rather be the facilitator than be the victim carried on the winds of change. Use this new moon energy to revitalize yourself. Don't wait for change to land on your doorstep, open the door and invite it in!
